Albert is a pioneer in low-latency touchscreens that provide users with the gratifying sensation of an instantaneous response when interacting with their phone, tablet, and other touchscreen devices. In addition to being featured in popular tech journals, Albert’s work in this field trended on social media sites, reaching the front page of Reddit, and attracting over 1.2 million views on YouTube. At Stanford, Albert built high-performance computers and interfaces that advanced the ability of biologists to perform next-generation gene sequence alignment. Albert received a BS from Caltech and an MS from Stanford in EE. He was granted fellowships from the National Science Foundation, Stanford, and Microsoft Research.
Albert speaks and writes Mandarin Chinese, dabbles in Korean and Spanish, and has been a competitive chess player, piano performer, and ultimate Frisbee champion.
Dave is a veteran of Walt Disney Imagineering, where he led teams designing theme park attractions for the U.S., China, Japan, and France. He was an overall producer for the design phase of Hong Kong Disneyland, and relocated to partner with the park’s China-based marketing team. Dave also directed the development of experiences for Cruise Ships, Hotels, and Retail, including a store in Japan that has among the highest sales per square foot in the world. In addition to creative projects, Dave held leadership roles in business development and technical research efforts. He collaborated with entertainment and education leaders in China to conceptualize businesses suited to the country’s culture; and helped build an international consortium of laboratories for environmental initiatives. Dave was VP of Production and Project Management for pioneering ad agency 42 Entertainment, where he implemented transmedia marketing campaigns that bridged the digital and real world to personally engage customers with an advertiser’s brand. Clients included Ford, Sony, Disney, Warner Bros, DreamWorks, and Wrigley. Before Disney, fresh from the MBA program at UC Irvine, Dave co-founded a travel marketing company, producing and writing travelogues for such hospitality icons as The Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, and Westin.
Dave’s professional life began shooting fiberglass hippos as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise.
